Puterche means ‘butter’ in Macedonian and is commonly used to define someone as being very sweet and soft.
Puterche is a young, curious and energetic puppy and is really friendly towards any dog. She loves the close presence of her friend Luna who is 2 years old and feels most secure around her; she doesn’t like to be alone. She has probably been separated from her mother at a very early age, so she always feels an urging need for closeness: at night, she always goes to sleep next to Luna, even though she has her own bed. Puterche also shows typical puppy behaviour – she loves to chew on everything, digs holes and goofs around.
Puterche is a really happy dog who wants to be around people all the time. She appreciates being cuddled and shows a lot of gratitude for being rescued.
She was found by a girl alongside a river, whose riverbed resembled a dump. Right from the start, the girl saw that Puterche was hardly moving and difficult to reach. When the girl finally managed to collect her, the tiny dog seemed pretty lost, starved and frozen. With the right diet and vitamins Puterche became a whole new dog within only 10 days; she was happy and playful.
One of Puterche’s ears is in a funny looking position – maybe she was born like this or maybe she was hurt by someone or hurt herself…we cannot know, but what we do know for sure, is that this external characteristic makes her even more unique!
There are other ways of helping our dogs! Fostering increases their chances of finding their perfect match, whereas sponsoring allows us to never worry about how we will collect the necessary monthly funds for food, kennel, and medical bills.
